trimester three and many thanks

i keep saying 3rd semester instead of trimester.

our friends and family have been so sweet and supportive :) from baking me cookies to mailing me surprise presents to being patient with my mood swings...and everyone's generosity has been such a blessing. kana - one of jason's cousins - passed on a whole box of goodies. a pregnancy pillow (which is getting a lot of use!), sound machine, bottle warmer, nursing pillow, breastfeeding stuff (some of which i have yet to identify), etc... thanks so much for passing those things on!!!

to the left are some of the baby's latest presents:

a chicken rattle  - so funny and appropriate! and an outfit that is so perfect for her that it feels custom made...a cat, hugging a tree, saying "be kind"...how much closer does it get?
thanks so much Van Hooks!

the precious pink lamb outfit and mother goose book are from the Douglass'. check out these amazing vintage inspired illustrations! thank you! it was so refreshing to catch up with you a couple weeks ago.

thank you God for bringing back the sun! i'm ready to get outside and repair the chicken coop and plant in the garden and open the windows!

my older sisters have also been passing on useful items - kristen just offered me her pack n play, and laura passed on a bunch of toys, car seat accessories, travel diaper changing kit, etc...thanks sisters! and thank you mom for all the baby clothes you have been finding for us!

here is baby girl's very first valentine! my brother eric, his wife julie, and their family were so thoughtful to send this sweet card. baby girl already has so many people that love her - what a wonderful way to start life.

on a less fun note - i still find pregnancy quite uncomfortable and painful. i must be surrounded by some really strong women, because i'm pretty sure none of them complained as much as i do. mostly about the sciatic nerve pain and muscles stretching. speaking of stretching, i really need to get in the habit of stretching and walking and doing my prenatal yoga poses. i think some light exercise will be so beneficial as my body continues to grow. and i've heard it makes a big difference in labor, too.

i'm excited to meet her :) i have a feeling that she is going to be amazing...
