This has been a big month for Vera. She is especially proud to say that she can sit herself up and crawl now! The crawling is still slow, which we appreciate, as we are still childproofing...although I suspect that doesn't ever really end. Tooth #3 also came in this month, strangely, also on bottom.
Some sounds she is making: snake sounds, still does monster baby once and a while, la la la, da da...
She also had several days in a row where she stuck her tongue out constantly. She copies me when I blow on her food, which is cute! And today she drank from a straw...kind of...I trapped water in the straw and she drank out the bottom. She loved doing that and drank quite a bit that way. It's funny how the smallest things are a big deal with babies - so many firsts!
Vera and I had some quality time together while Jason was in Chicago for 4 days and New York for 1 day. Unfortunately we were both sick which made it a pretty exhausting time for both of us! She took it like a champ but produced more snot than someone that size should be able to. The snot bubbles are quite entertaining ... but probably only because she's ours :)
Jason reads stories at bedtime and has taught Vera how to turn the pages. She loves doing it herself now! We can barely finish reading the page before she wants to move on to the next one.
Note from Jason: I'm looking forward to being back in St. Louis with no travel plans on the horizon ... I missed my girls and after an excursion out the Gelateria today enjoying some gelato and chilling, I definitely don't want that to change anytime soon. Here's to hoping there are more warm days for walks to South Grand!
