Snow Day

Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory,  obtaining  the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls. 1st Peter 1:8-9

Ice and snow are collecting outside, which means we get to have Jason home all day. Yay! Gotta love the forced family time! So he is sitting in the recliner working on his laptop, I'm browsing blogs, and Vera is playing with toys on the floor. Vera was getting a little bored with her fruit basket toy, and stacking cups...so I pulled out her bin of socks, and she's having a great time with them! Stretching the leggings, unfolding the pairs, dumping out the bin, collapsing the bin...I should be more like Vera. Finding joy in the everyday things.

Soon we are heading into the kitchen to bake these adorable scones. I thought I'd make a bunch and deliver them to the neighbors. With that in mind, should I make a universal flavor like chocolate chip, or a fun flavor like pumpkin fig (which I have been wanting to try ever since the Mud House made them one day)? Maybe I'll do both. One of the benefits of being indecisive.

I came across these beautiful flowers as I was looking through the blogs I follow regularly. Joel is such a creative genius! Be sure to read through his projects...it's very inspiring.
