Today Brea took Vera's 1 year pictures. Can you believe it? I can't. It was so fun though and Brea did amazing - of course. She was so sweet and so patient. Very important quality for photographing a 1 year old, don't you think? She even brought Vera her very first cupcake! Vera also got her first ever birthday card in the mail a couple days ago from her Great Aunt Mary and Great Uncle Jerry.
About a week ago Vera pulled herself up to standing for the first time. Since then she has been practicing it several times a day. I'm so proud of her. I've also realized that she is getting pretty bored with most of the toys I have out for her. I need to pack some of them away - she has mastered most of them. What's great about that is that the weather is getting nice - so she will have plenty to discover outside! I am so grateful for that.
Here are some pics from a picnic we had with Erin and Eliza - it was such a beautiful day. I hope we get to do that again soon.
